She was born December 27, 1938 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Herbert and Lorraine (Steuber) Sittman. Carol graduated from Valders High School and was employed at Mirro Aluminum. On June 9, 2009, she married Curtis Long.
Carol is survived by her husband: Curtis Long, Whitelaw; four daughters: Sharon (Keith) Ose, Orlando, Florida, Vera (Brian) Berg, Carleton, Michigan, Denise Long, Taylor, Michigan, and Danielle (Rob) Obrecht, Novi, Michigan; and two grandsons: Frankie Boggs and James Vaughn Jr. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Debra Calamia and one step-daughter: Michelle Long.
Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, Manitowoc, and per Carol's wishes, no services will be held.
