Dora Elizabeth Hatchett Thomas, age 72, of Bremen, GA, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022.
She was born on November 28, 1949, to the late Durwood (sic) Hatchett and the late Christine Stone Hatchett.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Costley; and one brother, Doug Hatchett.
Elizabeth loved her family and truly enjoyed taking care of them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed being outdoors working in her yard, gardening and mowing the lawn.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, James William "Bill" Thomas of Bremen; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Tobie Scarbrough of Carrollton and Lisa and Anthony Ayers of Buchanan; brother and sisters-in-law, Walter and Sue Hatchett of Bremen and Denise Hatchett; grandchildren, Megan and Casey Norton, Taylor and Kannon Madden and Haley Bennett; great grandchildren, McKenna Norton and Lively Madden and several other relatives and friends.
In keeping with Elizabeth's wishes, she will be cremated.
A memorial service for Elizabeth Thomas will be conducted on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Denise Hatchett officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Kidney Fund.
