Gary grew up in North Waterloo along with his brother, Ron. He had many friends in Waterloo and was a graduate from WCI Collegiate. Unfortunately, Gary had a motor vehicle accident at the age of 21. He lived with his parents after his accident until the time of his marriage. He was married for 15 years. Gary's brother Ron was instrumental in his rehab at home for many years, for which Gary will be forever grateful. He lived at the BYH Co-op from 1985-2022. He enjoyed this community of people and for him, it felt like family. He loved to spend his time coaching minor league baseball, sailing competitively from the Toronto Harbour, waterskiing on Lake Ontario, and was a lover of classic rock.
He will be missed by many. Gary is grateful to have been an organ donor at the time of his death; he will live on. Donations in Gary's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice through Rutherford Cremation & Funeral Services, Stratford, ON. 519-271-5062.
