James B. Masimore, 84, entered into rest on Monday October 31, 2022 at ProMedica North. He was the husband of Jackie M. (Seitz) Masimore. He was born March 3, 1938 in Glen Rock. The son of the late Harry and Amy (Brenneman) Masimore. James was a US Navy veteran having served in the Vietnam War. James was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was on the water or in the woods when he wasn't working. He worked as a machine operator at Caterpillar, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of the UAW # 786. A viewing will be 4-6 PM Thursday November 3, 2022 at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2114 W. Market St. York with a funeral service to follow at 6 PM with the Rev. Danny Haas officiating. Burial will follow after cremation on Friday with an 11 AM graveside service at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens 250 Chestnut Hill Rd. with military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Those attending should meet at the gate of the cemetery by 1045 AM. Including his wife Jackie, James is also survived by children: Edmonda Bryant, James Masimore, Amy Masimore, John Senft, Jackie Mundy, Raquel Lyons, Stacia Baum, Mark Gerrick and Fred Gerrick, 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a brother Eugene Masimore. He was preceded in death by a daughter Kimberly Higgins and several siblings. Beatrice Boeckel, Charles Bailey, Mamie Keizer, Stewart Bailey, and Treva Whorl. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to huntfish.pa.gov or by check to Pennsylvania Game Commission 2001 Elmerton Ave Harrisburg, PA 17110.
