Services for Mrs. Jewell Smith, 74, Route 2, Overton, are scheduled for 11 am Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. William Baker, Jr. officiating. . Burial will be in Overton Cemetery under direction of Pearson Funeral Home in Overton. Mrs. Flint died Sunday afternoon in a Tyler hospital after a long illness. She was born Dec. 15, 1905, in Atlanta, Tex., and lived in the Overton area 48 years, moving from Arkansas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Overton, a judge for the National Chrysanthemum Society, a member and past president of Turner-town Home Demonstration Club, was president of the Thimble Club in Henderson, was a member of Kilgore and Henderson garden clubs, and a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Paul B. Flint of Overton; one son, Raymond Eugene Flint of Denton; one sister, Mrs. Louvina Wilkens of Haughton, La.; one half brother, A. B. Lee of Haughton; and three grandchildren.
