Obit- Sara Jone Hicks, 73, of Chattanooga died Sunday, July 22, 2001. She was a native and lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was retired from Uniform Rental after many years of service. She was preceded in death by husband Artist Hicks; parents, Walter and Neza Douglas Young; brothers, James, Charles and Edward Young; sisters Maxine Clegg and Louise Wisnieswski; and daughter, Martha Jane Parker. Survivors; son and daughter-in-law Walter and Barbara Duke, Sweetwater; brother, John D Young, Chattanooga; special sister-in-law Arnest Schrader; Rossville; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Services are 8pm today in the chapel with Rev. C.F. Strickland officiating. Graveside services are 11:30am Wednesday at Forest Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers; David Duke, Ronnie Brown, Wallace Lawson, Lesley Schrader, Lance Schrader, Clyde Chandler, Jason Chandler, Jeremy Tharp. Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
