DEATH CLAIMS ELI BENNETT TUESDAY AFTERNOON
Eli Bennett, 69, native of Peoria, Ill., passed away at the county farm Tuesday afternoon following a brief illness.
He was born May 21, 1877 in Peoria, Ill. and came to this community about ten years ago. He was engaged as a cook at the Wilbur cafe and on various ranches, working until about two weeks ago as cook at the Cooke Sheep Co. ranch.
Officials are attempting to locate relatives. The remains are at the Brundage funeral home. Final arrangements have not been completed.
