Shafer, John F. -- Bellville. John F. Shafer died at his home west of this place on Friday, Aug. 15th., aged 64 years. The funeral took place on Sunday at 2 p.m. Services at the Salem Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Knapp, assisted by Rev. Kaufman. It would be useless to eulogize Mr. Shafer. The record of his earnest Christian life speaks for him.
