Frances H. Carnahan, 80, of the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home, died Friday, Sept. 25, 1992, after a long illness. Born in Ottawa, Ohio, Feb. 5, 1912, she had spent most of her life in Gladwin County. She was a member of the Gladwin Church of the Nazarene. The former Frances Maenle, she was married to Ray Carnahan on Feb. 21, 1933, in Ottawa, Ohio. He preceded her in death Dec. 18, 1984.
Surviving are 2 sons, Richard of Beaverton and John of Grand Haven; one daughter, Mary Young of Beaverton; one brother, John of Lima, Ohio; one sister, Rose Dennings of Gladwin; 10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at 1 p.m. from the Sisson Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Wells officiated and burial was in the Ridge Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 9-30/1992 Column – 3 Page – 2.
