BAXTER--In Eugene, Oregon, Oct. 6, 1913, at 9 p.m., at the home of Prof. C.W. converse, 973 Hilyard street, Samuel R. Baxter, and 83.
Death was due to dropsy from which he suffered a long time. Mr. Baxter was a pioneer of Oregon, having crossed the plains by ox team in 1851. The remains will be conveyed to Dayton, Oregon, for burial.
