Kelly Kay Lindsey
Kelly Lindsey, age 59, passed away on Sunday, March 4th, 2018 in Winnsboro. She was born on December 3rd, 1958 in Tacoma, WA to the late C.W. Kerwin and Carol Kerwin. She graduated, class of 1977, in Winnsboro, TX. Kelly was always an active member of the community and thoroughly enjoyed raising her two boys. She served as a leader in the Cub Scouts and in the Band Boosters. In later years she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was a member of the following historical societies: Daughters of the American Revolution, The Mayflower Society, Daughters of Union Soldiers of the Civil War, Daughters of the War of 1812, Daughters of American Colonists, Friends of Valley Forge, Plymoth Planation, The Francis Wyman Association, and the Dickinson Family Association. As a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution-Elizabeth Denton chapter, Kelly served first as Registrar and most recently as Regent and was also a traveling Docent for the DAR Museum. Kelly was preceded in death by her father, C.W. "Chick" Kerwin and infant daughter Tessie. She is survived by, her mother, Carol Kerwin of Winnsboro; husband, Dale Lindsey of Winnsboro; sons, Eric Lindsey and his wife Amy of Cypress, TX, Sean Lindsey and his wife Allyson of Manassas, VA; brother, Kirk Kerwin of Winnsboro, TX; sister Kathi Brown of Lindale, TX; half-sisters, Crystal and Tina; six grandchildren, Kate, Nolan, Stephen, Abygail, Adyson and Grayson. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Beatty Funeral Home Chapel, 5396 S St. Hwy 37, Mineola, TX 75773.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to East Texas Hospice, or any cancer research facility such as The American Cancer Society or M.D. Anderson Cancer Research.
