Katherine (Venita) was born to Joe Daniel DeViney and Nona L. DeViney, in Scott Arkansas. She was a long time resident of Mabelvale and Bryant Arkansas. She pursued a career in Physical Therapy for many years till she retired. She loved the Lord and dedicated her spare time to her church by helping with the youth, music, and other activities for the church. She enjoyed playing and coaching softball for multiple teams which led the teams to win several trophies. She loved playing music on her piano, harmonica, and guitar and singing hymns.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph D. DeViney, and Nona L. (Spikes) DeViney, her brothers John T. DeViney and wife Mabel DeViney of Woodbridge Virginia and Joe D. DeViney of Ft. Smith Arkansas. Her sister Lucille Newton and husband Johnny Newton from Hackett Arkansas. She was survived by a son Joey R. Ragsdale and his wife Joy Ragsdale of Ft. Smith Arkansas and a daughter Vicki L. Gipson and her husband James B Gipson of Cabot Arkansas. She has 6 wonderful grandchildren, Jeanine Coats, Jason Williams and his wife Faith, Shawn Ragsdale and his wife Kristina, Jessica Etters and her husband Bobby, Zachary Ragsdale and his wife Michelle, Jamie Puryear and her husband Troy. She has 19 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. She was extremely fond of her numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday November 2, 2022 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30 Little Rock, Arkansas 72209. The service will be held Thursday November 3, 2022 at Roller-Drummond at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas
