Jimmie Neal "JN" Allen
Jimmie Neal "JN" Allen, 82, of Albany, GA went home to be with Jesus Monday, October 24, 2022 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. His grandson, Derrick Sheffield will officiate. Interment will follow in Cordray's United Methodist Cemetery.



Born June 10, 1940 in Hawkinsville, TN to the late Willie and Josephine Allen. Mr. Allen was raised in Calhoun Co., GA and lived most of his life in Dougherty Co. and Lee County, GA. Mr. Allen was a retired home builder, being involved with J. N. Allen Builders and J & J Construction for over fifty years. His daughter Gail and son Randall worked with him a little more than twenty years and they had a very close daddy, daughter and son relationship. He could build anything he put his mind too and had the vision of the outcome. He built beautiful homes in Albany, GA and surrounding counties. He had a good work ethic, workaholic type person working 24/7 and enjoyed fishing (even in a mudhole), his wife always said and camping with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grand-father, great-grandfather and friend. He was of the Christian faith.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty four years, Beatrice Turner Allen, siblings, Conner Allen, Ruth Cheshire, Lizzie Reynolds, Louise Moody, Perry Allen, Jackie Kersey, Annis Joiner, Frank Allen and a son, Jimmy Dale Allen.



Survivors include his daughter, Gail Sheffield and her husband (Jimmy), Lee Co., GA, son, Randall Wayne Allen, Leesburg, GA, grandchildren, Derrick Sheffield and his wife Roxy, Blackshear, GA, Jeremy Sheffield and his wife Jaylan, Carrolton, GA, great-grandchildren, Daxston Sheffield, Ramsey Jae Sheffield, Auden Sheffield, Hardin Sheffield, sister, Charmie Ash, Leesburg, GA and special furbaby, Little Bit and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that he dearly loved.
