On May 5, 2011, Eugenia Atkinson Graham, of Richmond, Va., died peacefully in her sleep at Chatham Health and Rehabilitation Center. Eugenia was a past member of Providence United Methodist Church and retired from nursing at the age of 73. She was born on March 28, 1927, to William and Amber Atkinson. Eugenia was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother; and also an infant son, John K. Powers. She is survived by three sons, Howard S. Powers of Chester, Va., Bill Powers and his wife, Adie, of Burkeville, Va., Chris Powers and his wife, Becky, of Powhatan, Va.; and one daughter, Genie Mayhew and her husband, Mike, of Gretna, Va.; as well as nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Billups Funeral Home, 2500 E. Marshall Street, Richmond, Va.
