David Ray Stanley, 69, of Charlotte, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014 unexpectedly at his home. David was born December 11, 1944, in Battle Creek, the son of George Alfred and Dorothy Marie (Collins) Stanley.

He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1963 before enlisting in the Air Force in 1965 and serving as a Military Police Officer in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge in 1969, he worked at General Motors for 38 years as a tool and die maker, and was a proud member of the American Legion and the VFW. Above all, David loved his family; especially watching his grandchildren's sporting events.
