OBITUARY :
MR. JOSEPH TRESSLER died at his home in Fountaindale, Adams county, at 10 o'clock this morning after a brief illness. He was in his 72nd year and was born near the place of his death.

He was engaged in farming all his life.

These children survive him: W. C. Tresler, Waynesboro; Daniel Tresler, San Francisco, Cal., and Mrs. Mary Lantz, Deerfield, Frederick county, Md.

Funeral in Fountaindale Reformed Church, Saturday, 10 a.m.

BIOGRAPHY: Joseph Tresler, Jr. was drafted on a Friday, Capt Eyster gave notice that men from Gettysburg would be examined on June 13, thru the 17th. Examinations at Gettysburg were held at the Court House. Gettysburg, Pennsylvania escaped the draft, having filled their quotas with volunteers.
