John, the son of Duane and Viola (Gingerich) Yoder, was born on March 15, 1957, in Washington, Iowa. He lived in Newton for most of his life. John was an active member of the South Skunk Blues Society.
Surviving are his four children, Joe (Tammy) Illingworth, Mercedes Mullica, Jasmine (Alex) Farver, and Jacy Yoder; grandchildren, Courtney, Keynan, Kael, Kendall, and June; and his siblings, Becky (John) Neff, Kathy (Jim) Collins, and Gary (Lori) Yoder and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lee Yoder.
