She was a native of Culleoka, the daughter of the late Porter and Emma Cozart Jones. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Hickory Heights Church of Christ .
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, George Allen Harber and Edward Burgess, son, George Allen Harber Jr., and sister, Alice Taylor.
Flossie was a very devoted member of the Hickory Heights Church of Christ. She was a very humble, soft-spoken lady who lived a spiritually devoted life practicing her faith and serving others. Rather than floral offerings, Flossie and the family would appreciate you honoring her by reading your Bible in her memory and in doing one or more good deeds to help someone who needs a friend. That was her legacy--to love the Lord, to love her neighbor and to serve and honor them both!
Words cannot express the appreciation that goes out to the dedicated staff and nurses at NHC Lewisburg who loved and cared for Flossie these last few years. Oh, that all mankind was as kind, gentle, giving and loving as Mrs. Flossie Burgess.
Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 29th, 2022 at 10:00 am from the Hickory Heights Church of Christ with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held in the Chapel of London Funeral Home on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 4:00-8:00 pm.
