Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Benny F. DeLamar, Jr., 63 of Benton passed away Monday, December 5, 2005 at home. LtCol DeLamar served his country for 28 years in the Arkansas Army National Guard, a partner for 30 years with the Baxley DeLamar Monument Company in Benton, and a faithful member of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock.
Benny was born in Arkadelphia, January 29, 1942 to the late Frank and Martha Lou DeLamar.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jerri Baxley DeLamar, his son, David DeLamar and his wife Shawna, his daughter, Debra DeLamar, three grandchildren; Katie, Hailey, and Paige, one brother, Mickey DeLamar of Mesquite TX, one sister Jan Buford of Hot Springs, his father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Catherine Baxley, a special friend, Mike Sipes, and a host of other relatives and friends
