Mrs. Joanne Rae Wagner, 90, of Galax, VA passed away peacefully at her daughter's home October 23, 2022. Mrs. Wagner was born in Lewisburg, PA on July 29, 1932 to the late Raymond D. Fisher and Leah S. Fisher. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William F. Wagner Jr., her brothers John and Donley Fisher, and her son-in-law, Rev. Robert N. Humphrey.
Left to cherish her memory are her six children, a daughter, Susan L. Humphrey of Galax, VA: and her sons, William J. Wagner and wife, Rose of PA, Steven D. Wagner of AZ, Michael G. Wagner, Robert S. Wagner, and John B. Wagner and wife, Vonda of NC. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher R. Humphrey and wife, Penny of Galax, VA, Joanna B. Ballard and husband, Gary of Galax, VA, Elizabeth and husband Mike William, William J. Andrus and Chasity Harmon and wife, April of PA, Ruben Wagner and wife, Dianna of CA, Heather and Marquis Springs, Michael Wagner, and Roberta Jo Wagner of NC. Mrs. Wagner had 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
At the request of Mrs. Wagner, no visitation or services will be held.
