Harry Cohee, 82, of 230 W. High St., Eaton, died Oct. 12 at his home. He was born in Gratis and was a lifelong Preble County resident. As honorary member of the Eaton Volunteer Fire Department, he joined the department in 1942 and was made a captain in 1965. He was promoted to assistant fire chief in 1971 and retired in 1973. He was also a retired carpenter. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Brown of Eaton and JoAnne Bowen of Terre Haute, Ind.; one brother, Pearl Cohee of Eaton; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. His wife, Dorothy, died in 1982. Funeral services for Mr. Cohee were Saturday at the Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral home, Eaton, with the Rev. Charles Sorrell officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.
