Age 94, daughter of the late William and Helen Ruhl Schmitt. Mary was a 1946 graduate of East High School and studied music at the Erie Conservatory. She was a featured singer with the Philharmonic, St. Mary's Church Choir, on radio and other choirs in the Erie area.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Charles Cornwell, her daughter, Lori Ann Cornwell Ginnery, a brother Robert Schmitt, a sister, Helen Wright, and two grandchildren, Steven Cornwell and Philip Tryon.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Lynn Miller, Janet Tryon (Dennis), Lisa Cornwell, six sons, John (Fran), Rick (Linda), Jim (Jenn), Mike (Linda), Steve (Sherall) of Wilmer Alabama and Tom (Leah) of Yulee, Florida, 27 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
