Lisa Renee Delp, 43, of Bristol, Virginia went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 1, 2011 from Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 28, 1967, a daughter of the late Raymand Canter and Freida Canter . In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents and mother-in-law, Peggy Andis.
Lisa was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She worked for Ryan' s for 13 years and was an active member of Open Door Baptist Church. She always made certain that her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews were taken care of.Lisa is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 16 years Michael Delp; daughter Leslie Dixon; son, Joshua Martin; step-daughter, Jeannie Smith; sisters, Connie Nixon and husband John and Kimberly Sandberg and husband Thomas; grandchildren Riley Hayden and Cody Smith; special niece Daizee Morrison; and several other nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of 2 West and 3 West, Dr. Belagode, Dr. T.C. Greene, Dr. Osborne, and Wellmont Hospice for all the love and care shown to Lisa during her illness.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:45 Monday evening, April 4, 2011, at Blevins Funeral Services. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 with Rev. Eddie Crusenberry and Rev. Mike Leonard officiating.
The committal service and interment will be conducted at 1:00 Tuesday afternoon, April 5, 2011, in Mountain View Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Sheffield, Jerry Kite, Brandon Leonard, Rick Cunningham, Terry Cunningham, Larry Cunningham, and Chad Cunningham.
