Jim was born June 27, 1937, in Wilkes County to Glennie and Inez Bauguess Crabb.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Reatha Prevette.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Cheek Crabb of the home; two daughters, Gail Dancy and husband Jay of Roaring River, Vena Cummings and husband Michael of Ronda; one son, Glennie Crabb of Traphill; four sisters, Sue Cook of High Point, Loretta Tolley of Winston-Salem, Lillie Wood of North Wilkesboro, Josephine and husband Everette Combs of Roaring River; two brothers, Larry and wife Martha Crabb of Roaring River, Kenny Crabb of North Wilkesboro; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Stoney Ridge Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
