Fourth victim
Also Saturday, the funeral was held for Faye Nell Roberts Long McCulloch, the fourth victim of the tornado. McCulloch died Wednesday night, hours after the tornado struck her doublewide mobile home in the Fairfield area.
Friends, relatives and neighbors filled Faith Baptist Church to mourn her death but also to celebrate her 86 years of life. She was buried in Johnson's Chapel Cemetery.
"We have a library of memories that death or nothing can separate us from," the Rev. Jackie Thompson said. "... In her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the witness she left behind is still going on."
He and the Rev. Steve Agee noted McCulloch's commitment to her church.
"If she was not sick, if she was not in the hospital, she would be right here (in church)," Agee said. "... She was the first one to add someone to the prayer list."
Family members said McCulloch had worked at a garment factory in Moulton and planted a flower or vegetable garden every spring.
