'Leroy Chapman was born March 23, 1932, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Virgil Marion and Ruby (Young) Chapman. He died Friday, April 1, 2016, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years.
Leroy completed his secondary education in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of Central High School. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was married September 21, 1956, in Tulsa to Betty DePriest. He spent most of his working life as an entrepreneur in various business endeavors. He particularly enjoyed spending time on"The Ranch†north of Skiatook, Oklahoma. He also enjoyed driving and caring for vintage cars. Leroy was a longtime faithful member of Harvard Avenue Baptist Church in Tulsa. He was always willing to extend his time or money toward anyone who needed help whether friend or stranger. He used this as an expression of his character and would always share the gospel. These relationships were for a lifetime and never forgotten. Most important in his life was time spent with his family, especially the grandkids.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Harvard Avenue Baptist Church in Tulsa with Reverend Billy Green officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at the Chapman Cemetery in Skiatook, Oklahoma.
