Marie Philia Claudette Hollis nee Giasson, died October 20, 2022 at age 84.

She was born in L'Islet Sur Mer, PQ, Canada, in 1938.

Claudette was a member of a large Catholic French-Canadian family of 12 children.

She had 7 sisters: Fernande, Louisette, Solange, Jocelyne, Lucille, Francine, Madeleine; and 4 brothers: Most Rev. Bishop Jean Louis Giasson, deceased, Gilles Giasson, deceased, Rejean Giasson, deceased, and Jerome Giasson.

She was a Nurse Practioner. She was licensed as a nurse in London, Nigeria and USA, including New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana.

She married Charles Alvin Hollis III in December 1963, whom she met in Nigeria while both worked for a Catholic Mission Society.

They both retired to the Texas Hill Country.

Claudette is survived by her husband: Charles Hollis

Three children: Thomas Hollis and spouse Robin, Christine Bius and spouse Jonathan, and Lisa Hollis- Brown and spouse David. They have five grand children: Robert Bius and spouse Danielle, Melissa Bius, Sophia Hollis, Henry Hollis, and Alexander Brown, and two great grandchildren: Benjamin Bius and James Bius.

Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday October 27th at 11:30 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Stonewall, Tx with Rev. Jim Harnan officiating.

Graveside services and interment will follow in the Stonewall Guadalupe Cemetery.

Rosary services will be held on Thursday October 27th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Visitation for Claudette Hollis will be held on Thursday October 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in Church prior to the Rosary.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
