Derrick Robinson, 44, passed on Sunday, February 6, 2022.
Born in Galveston, Texas. He was the son of Audrey Johnson and Houston McCree. He was an entrepreneur and a lyricist.
He believed in God, he enjoyed writing lyrics, comedy and helping people. He will be remembered for his generosity, humor, storytelling and creativity.

Derrick is survived by: his son, Derius Long; his daughter, Aurora White; his sisters, Yolanda Johnson, Ethel Luster, Crystal Robinson-Bell and Ashley Guidry; brothers, Antonio Greer, Kevontiae Owens and Kermic Luster; twin granddaughters, D'Laiyiah and D'Liyiah Long; special friends, Nathaniel "Pig" Williams and Reggie Horton.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022. The viewing will start at noon followed by the celebration of his life at 2:00 p.m. Both events will be held at the chapel of Bay Area Funeral Directors, 5410 FM 1765 (facing Highway 3) in Texas City, Texas 77591. 409-933-4300. www.bayareafuneraldirectors.com.
