Dewey Daniel Christie passed away at the family home, 3892 Ramona drive, Riverside, Sunday evening at 7:20 o'clock after several months of failing health.
Mr Christie was born November 11, 1898, at Bluefield, W Va, and came to California four years ago from Miami Florida, with his wife and son. The family settled first in Los Angeles where they lived for six months, then moved to Riverside, where the family home has been for three and one-half years.
Mr Christie is survived by his wife, the one son, Daniel Collard Christie, and his mother, who resides in West Palm Beach, Florida. There are also two sisters and three brothers. Mrs Christie is a cousin of Mrs R V Rountree of this city.
Funeral services will be held in the Todd & Reeves chapel Tuesday at 10:30 am. Interment will be made in Pomona cemetery.

Word of the death of Dewey Daniel Christie of Riverside, Cal, was received here by his mother, Mrs Alice R Anderson, 809 1/2 South Olive avenue. He had been in ill health for several years but his condition had grown worse in the last several weeks. His death came as a shock to his family and friends here.
Mr Christie, who was 33 years old, was associated with the New York Life Insurance company at Riverside. Prior to going to California he was connected with a lumber company in Miami and in 1928 visited his family here.
He leaves a wife, Mrs Georganna Christie and a son, Daniel Collard; his mother Mrs Anderson, and his sisters, Mrs W M McKinnon and Miss Maude Anderson; brothers, Bryan P Christie of Oakland, Cal and T Fox Christie and J M Anderson, jr, of this city.
