Mary Katherine Buchanan was born to the late Reverend James Edward Buchanan and Annie Beatrice Buchanan, on May 4, 1958. She accepted Christ at an early age. She remained a member of the West Union Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Anthony Lang until transition from this life.

Mary was a very passionate and giving person. She enjoyed helping in any way
she could. On October 7, 2022 God opened a window and Mary saw a glimpse of beauty and like the wind, she was gone.

She's preceded in death by her father, Reverend James E. Buchanan, older sister, Bessie K. Sanders, younger sister, Lois Anne Buchanan, nephew, Byron Johnson, Sr., and cousin, LaTravean Thomas. She leaves to cherish her in memory, her son, Chris Buchanan; mother, Annie Jenkins; sister, Linda C. Johnson; brother, Melvin C. Paul; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, along with lots of friends.

Funeral Services will be held on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2022
