COOPER- Deborah J., 70, Johnstown, passed away with her family by her side on February 19, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born October 8, 1949 to the late Robert and Freda (Specht) Berkebile. She was preceded in death by her parents, her nephews, Gregg and Larry Layton, and her sister-in-law, Sue Policicchio. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gary, her son Chris and wife Amy, grandchildren, Mya and Garrett, brother, Robert Berkebile, sister, Betsy Layton, and beloved nieces and nephews. Deb devoted her life to her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren most of all. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones. Friends and family will be received on Monday February 24, 2020 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on February 25th at the funeral home, Pastor Nancy Hoover, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Deborah's memory to the American Cancer Society.
