May B. Rosenberg, 82, of 7 Elliott St., died Saturday at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Council Bluffs, she lived here most of her life. She was the widow of the late Clarence B. Rosenberg, who died in 1960.
She was a graduate of Wayne State Teachers College and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Omaha. She taught kindergarten at Walnut Grove School for 24 years, retiring in 1970.
Prior teaching posts were in Cromwell, Iowa; Ainsworth, Nebr. and American Falls, Idaho. For the past 3 years she has served as a volunteer teacher at Gunn School.
She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and a member of the Wesleyan Guild of that church for 40 years. She was a member of GQ Chapter, Sisterhood of P.E.O. for over 50 years.
Survivors include her son, C. Bernard of Council Bluffs; one grandson.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Cutler Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jerold L. Irvin, pastor of Epworth United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
The family will receive friends Monday between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. at the Cutler chapel.
Memorials are suggested to Epworth United Methodist Church.
