Frederick A. Turpin of Route 1, Columbia, died today in Columbia Hospital. He was 82.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p. m. Sunday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel by the Rev. C. W. Post on. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Gilbert D. Jacobs, Elton Jacobs, Frank Jacobs, Winifred Jacobs, Donnie Jacobs and Johnny Welchell.

Mr. Turpin, a native of Nova Scotia, was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Turpin. He was a retired driver for the George W. Pickering Co. of Salem, Mass., and attended Earlewood Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Florence A. St. Onge of Raleigh, Mass.; a son, John G. Turpin of Columbia; and a sister, Mrs. Annie McRae of Beverly, Mass.

Friends may call at the residence and at Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel.
