Perry as he was know as, was a merchant and owner of J P Baker's General Store in Grand Junction from 1875 to 1925. After he retired his daughter Alta took care of him.
The Iowa death certificate lists Perry's year of death as 1932. His headstone was done years after his death when money was available to the family so probably reason for date difference as children had forgotten exact date and they did headstones for both Perry and his wife Martha.
