Jeremy L. Briggs, 23, Pomona, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, in Ottawa.

He was born Dec. 2, 1984, to Robert D. Briggs and Donna M. (Pearson) West at Evanston, Wyo. He lived in Cheyenne and Casper, Wyo., before moving to Pomona in 1998. He graduated from Pomona High School in 2003.

He was a parts sales manager at Auto Zone, Ottawa, since 2005.

He was a member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Pomona.

Survivors include his mother, Donna and her husband Harold "George" West, Pomona; his father, Robert D. Briggs and wife Kimberly, Hammond, La.; brother, Jason West and wife Amanda, Lee's Summit, Mo.; sister Monica Dawes-Arnett, Emporia; brother Randy Wright, Cheyenne; grandparents Wesley Briggs, Casper, and Harry and Bonnie West, Canon City, Colo.; three nieces, Neva West, Lima, Ohio, Karlee Dawes and Casey Dawes, both Emporia; two nephews, Dakota West, Ada, Okla., and Chase Wiggins, Lee's Summit; several stepbrothers and stepsisters, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin and Winnie Pearson, and Ella Ferns Briggs, and a great-grandfather.
