Frank, the son of Rudolph Smith and Edna (Harmon) Smith, was born the youngest of 11 children. Frank was born in Peoria, Illinois.
He graduated from Limestone High School in Bartonville, IL.
After high school, Frank worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company and Bob Jones University.
Frank and Wauneta (Salter) Smith raised two children, John Smith of Ohio, married to Sophie (Kruggel), and Sarah Smith of South Carolina. Their grandchildren are Joshua, Caleb and Becky.
Frank's favorite verses are Galatians 5:22-23, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law" (KJV). These are his favorite verses, because he heard them when he first accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 34. He loved gardening and found that Galatians 5:22-23 teaches a lot about the Christian life and how to live.
Frank loved his family, decorating for Christmas, woodworking, gardening, history, animals, hooked rugs, games, puzzles, caring for his family, and sharing the love of Christ to others.
