Lester Stubblefield was born 29 August 1928 to Clarence George Stubblefield and his wife Daisy Lillian Shelton-Stubblefield in Casscoe, Arkansas. He had five siblings (Mae, Jill, Jack *deceased, * Kathleen, and Hazel *deceased*) and four half-siblings (Mary *deceased, * Jim *deceased, * Richard *deceased, * and Monroe *deceased*). Lester served in the United States Army as a mess sergeant in the Korean War. He married Lois Virginia Hayes-Stubblefield in 1950, and the two had four children: Dean, Roger, Steve, and Carol. He and Lois were married for 72 years. Lester served in Arkansas County law enforcement, and he actively served at his church, New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, in Casscoe. Lester had 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, of whom his first great-great granddaughter was born on his last birthday here on the earth.
