Luella A. Brockman, 83, Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the Decatur County Hospital in Greensburg.
Born, December 30, 1924 in Decatur Co., Indiana, she was the daughter of John A. and Anna M. (Ricke) Hillman, Sr.
Luella attended St. Mary's School and then graduated in 1943 from Greensburg High School. She then attended and graduated from Central Beauty School in 1945. She worked at the Allison Division of General Motors, then White & Kirby's Beauty Shop and then for 26 years at BCA retiring in 1990. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and a former member of the Daughters of Isabelle.
She was married to Harold G. Brockman on April 17, 1947 and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1999.
She is survived by one son, Dale A. (Deborah) Brockman, Greer, SC; one daughter, Glenda J. (William) Miller, Cincinnati, Oh.; 3 grandchildren, Shawn (Marisa) Brockman, NY, Shannon and Lori Brockman, Simpsonville, SC; 2 Great Grandchildren, Peyton & Olivia
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, John Hillman; 2 sisters, Martha Ann Hillman and Mary Sisson.
Visitation will be from 3-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A rosary service will be held on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Msgr. Harold Knueven officiating.
Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Church Building Fund.
