Billy Joe Fitzpatrick was born August 26, 1931, to Arnold and Nellie Margaret Fitzpatrick near Lone Chimney, Oklahoma. He departed this life October 10, 2022, at the age of 91.
He graduated from Quay High School in 1951. He then served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. On August 24, 1955, Billy Fitzpatrick and Marilyn Dawes were united in marriage. From this union were born three children, Rhonda, Joe, and Gary.
He was an active member of the Yale First Baptist Church where he served as deacon. He had a strong work ethic and enjoyed fishing when time allowed. His later years he enjoyed going to McDonalds and drinking coffee with his buddies.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Fitzpatrick; one daughter, Rhonda Hickman and husband Eddie; two sons, Joe Fitzpatrick and wife, Gwenn, and Gary Fitzpatrick; two brothers, Jimmy Fitzpatrick and Dale Fitzpatrick; one sister, Donna Fay Crowell; nine grandchildren, Danea Hickman-Spears, Brent Hickman, Steven Hickman, Krista Eastman, Maddison Hickman, Sean Fitzpatrick, Melodie Pitzer, Ethan Fitzpatrick and Reed Fitzpatrick; eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Roy Lee Fitzpatrick.
