The Frasers brothers are together again!
Brian "Butch" Fraser, age 55, died Friday, September 23, 2022 – the same 23 rd day
of the month his brother died in June 2014 at age 49. Butch lost his b attle when
his liver shut down after two Life Flight trips, one to Tallahassee and then to
Jacksonville when the end came. He fought a valent fight waiting for a transplant.
Born in Philadelphia, PA January 24, 1967, he and his family moved to Ft. Walton
when he was 6 months old, and he never left. He grew up on the beach and loved
his home, playing football as a linebacker for Bruner and Ft. Walton High holding
the total season tackle record for many years. He graduated from Ft. Walton High
in 1985 and from the University of Florida with a BS in Aero Engineering in 1990,
immediately following in his father's footsteps working for several civilian
contractors over the years. For most of the time he was the lead flight test
engineer on the JASSM contract.
A very caring son, brother, husband and father, he always offered help with a
smile when you needed him. An old friend describes "how he had a magnetic
personality and a twinkle in his eyes you couldn't help but love" and he always
ended a conversation with "love ya". Butch is predeceased by his brother and
best buddy Moose. He survived by his beloved partner Robin Quinlan who made
his final year a very happy one, his daughter Darbi Brooke who is a senior at FWB
High, and the apple of his eye. He was so proud of her accomplishments and
looked so forward to events that now will never happen. He is also survived by
his daughter's mother Debbie Fraser, his parents Darlene and David Fraser of
Destin, and his partner's mother Linda Quinlan of Santa Rosa Beach.
There will be a Celebration of Life at Tailfins in Destin on Friday, November 4
beginning at 4 which is opened to all his friends. Burial at Sea will be on Saturday
for family only. He is in a hurry to earn his wings so he can keep up with his
brother!
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
