The remains of Mrs. Alta Stafford were brought to this city from Guthrie, this afternoon, and buried in Parker cemetery. There was only a brief service held at the grave, the funeral having been held in Guthrie yesterday. The deceased was thirty years of age and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. Abernathy, formerly of this city, but now living in Guthrie. She was the wife of Sam Stafford and was well known in Arkansas City.
