Lynn D. Staton, 80, of Stuttgart died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at Baptist Health in Little Rock.

Mr. Staton was born Oct. 22, 1927, in Lonoke, the son of the late William and Elvie Parker Staton. He was an Army veteran stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was retired from Riceland, Inc.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Doyne and Bobby; and one sister, Josie.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lucille Meins Staton; one son, Terry (Sharon) Staton; one daughter, Lynda Staton; and one grandson, Ian Staton. He is also survived by five brothers, Wayne (Eleanor), Joe (Wanda), Harold (Dean), Billy (Wanda) and Richard (Pat); three sisters, Vivian (Royal) Burt, Nettie (Wayne) Pearson and Jeanette (Bob) Thomas; and sister-in-law, Pat Staton, widow of Bob Staton. He also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces.
Burial will follow in Lone Tree Cemetery in Stuttgart.
