Later, Todd continued his education at West Texas State and eventually University of Omaha. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
Throughout his life, Todd has lived in Manson, IA; South Sioux City, NE; Sioux City, IA; Okoboji, IA; Canyon, TX; Omaha, NE; Branson, MO; and Phoenix, AZ. He has lived in Okoboji since 2006.
Todd was an incredible son, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved nothing more than boating, snowmobiling, bowling, riding his motorcycle and being with those he loved. The Booge Family has owned a cabin on Miller's Bay for 45 years and Todd took great joy in keeping it a beautiful place for his entire family. One of his greatest loves was his dog, Brewski. Brewski died this past year which devastated Todd. It's comforting to know that they are together again.
Todd passed away on October 10, 2022.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Mary Ann Booge; sister, Michelle Booge; sister, Shawn O'Connor and her husband, Brian Day O'Connor; brother, Austin Booge and his wife Kaitlyn; nephews: Beau Margeas, Brennan Booge, Weston O'Connor, Kasey and Silas Booge; nieces: Sawyer Kieler, Jovie, Loni and Darci Booge; extended family and friends.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, Alan Booge; brother, Brett Booge; brother-in-law, George Margeas; uncles: Darwin Hammer, Ben Kramer, Mike Masterson; aunts, Joann Kramer and Marge Lampe; cousins, Jeffry Hartman and Mars
Todd Booge was born in 1962, to Alan and Mary Ann (Masterson) Booge. He graduated from North High School in Sioux City, Iowa, class of 1981. He attended West Texas State University, and the University of Nebraska in Omaha, Nebraska.
Anyone fortunate enough to know Todd was forever changed by him! He was the kindest, most genuine person I've ever known. His love and compassion for those he cared about was life changing. He accepted people for who they are and where they are without judgement. He truly was the best person I've ever known. He was humanly flawed (like we all are) but he had the heart of an angel! It's hard to explain what I mean, if he was happy for someone's success he was genuinely happy, his emotions weren't tainted with envy or pride, he was just so pure in how he expressed his feelings. When he was broken he didn't pretend not to be. When he was happy or in love, you could feel the sun radiate from him. He just had a heart and a personality that took people captive for a lifetime!
Survivors include his mother, Mary Ann; sister, Michelle Booge and nephews, Beau Margeas and Brennan Booge; sister, Shawn Booge O'Connor (Brian O'Connor), and niece, Sawyer Kieler; brother, Austin Booge; brother-in-law, Eddie Kieler; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Ann Booge, and John and Catherine Masterson; his godparents; father, Alan Booge (2019), brother Brett Booge (2014) aunt, JoAnne Kramer, and uncle, Darwin Hammer; uncle, Michael Masterson; brother-in-law George Margeas (2009), and cousins, Jeffrey Hartman and Marcia Hammer.
