Benjamin M. (Benjy) Howze, Jr., 87, of Roanoke, died Friday, October 21, 2016. He was born September 2, 1929 in Roanoke, VA and was a graduate of Jefferson High School in February 1950. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Mattie E. and Benjamin M. Howze, Sr.; sisters, Colleen Heggs, Phyllis Wagner and husband, Carl; brother-in-law, John Heggs; nephew, Randall Wagner and wife, Gayle; niece, Carla Mato and husband, Howie. He is survived by nieces, and eight sons and daughters of nieces and nephew; a bunch of cousins and their families. Mr. Howze has requested an immediate burial. There will be no viewing or services. Mr. Howze also requested that no flowers be sent to the funeral home or to any family members home. Oakey's Roanoke Chapel assisted the family.
