His family describes him as a happy man who enjoyed the simple life. He enjoyed old cars and good movies.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Candice Louvierre and husband Blaine, and Laura Nichols; brother: Ricky Smith and wife Jolene; grandchildren: Stephanie Bain, Denton Brown, Blaine Louvierre III, Scott Williamson, CJ Williamson and Gary Williamson; nine great-grandchildren and many other friends and family members.
