RITES HELD FOR AUTO VICTIMS
Funeral services for the two people who were found dead in an automobile in a lonely spot off Highway 45 in Prichard last week were held Monday and Tuesday.
Funeral services for Mrs. Packer was held Monday from the Cedar Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Ely, the past officiating. A native of Camden, Ala., the deceased had lived in this city for several years.
She is survived by a husband two daughters, a mother and other relatives.
Last rites for Elijah Howard were held from the Lovett's Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon.
The bodies of Mrs. Packer and Mr. Howard were found in an automobile last Thursday afternoon. Local officials feel that death resulted from carbon monoxide gas from the heater.
