CONSTANCE M. "CONNIE" DeLUCA
August 4, 2021

On Wednesday, August 4, 2021 my beautiful wife, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, surrounded by family, was called by God to her heavenly home. Her legacy is her love and compassion for all but, especially her family for whom she was fiercely proud and protective of. She is survived by her deeply devoted husband of 66 years, State Representative, Anthony M. DeLuca, her children, Debbie (Chris) Brinker, Larry (Lauren), Michele (Bud) Joyce and Honorable Judge Anthony (Beth). Also survived by nine grandchildren, Anthony (Anjelyque), Emily, Ashley, Joseph (Andrea), Nicholas (Ali), Olivia (Gabe), Christina, Zachery (Kait) and Michael, as well as great-grandchildren, Bella, Ellie and Julia. Also survived by siblings, Ann, Alice, Suzanne, Margaret and Jack. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine Harrity, as well as siblings, Rita, Betty, Charlie, Patrick, Tom, Bill and Jim. A special mention must be made to her sister, Margaret, who was there by Connie's side for life's highs and lows. Also, Ken and RuthAnn Ladrew, who cared for Connie as one of their own family members. Connie was a longtime member of the Penn Hills Democratic Party and was a superb homemaker, decorator and cook and was well known for having great outdoor Christmas decorations. She was a huge fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams and Steelers super bowl parties at her house were not to be missed. She was very proud of her Irish heritage, never missing an opportunity to lead the crowd in a rousing rendition of Danny Boy. She fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith and now her loving family has a guardian angel to watch over them. Friends and relatives will be received on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 2-9 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont. The family strongly suggests wearing masks while visiting. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, August 7, 2021, 11:00 a.m. Holy Family Parish, (St. Joseph Catholic Church). EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hillman Cancer Center, 5115 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
