She was born on September 5, 1939, in Ridge Farm, the daughter of Virgil and Mary "Ruth" {Poling} Kunkle, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Elza Dale Collom on December 15, 1962, until his passing on July 8, 2000.
Mary Lou will be missed by her children, Raymond (Lori) Collom of Georgetown and Tammy Baker of Ridge Farm; her grandchildren, Jamie (Larry) Ross, Jera (Joe Hardiman) Baker, Kenna Baker, Zaaron (Caitlyn) Baker, Cierra (Brandon) Herrin and Amanda Collom; her great grandchildren, Quinleigh, Kaelyn, Madelynn, Taelynn, Blakelynn and Parklynn; her sister, Virginia Pratt; her sisters-in-law, Brenda Sue Kunkle and Shirley Razmus and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Kenneth Collom and her brother, Russell Kunkle.
Mary Lou enjoyed going bowling, eating ice cream, playing cards with friends and doing puzzles. She cherished spending time with her family as well as being Joe's partner in Euchre and always winning. Mary Lou felt blessed to be part of the family of God at Bethel Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she had touched.
She will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm, Illinois.
