Ida Lindberg Henderson was born in Genarp, Sweden, Sept 7, 1893. She was the ninth of eleven children in the family of Andrew John and Hanna Person Lindberg. She came to America at the age of 12 years, with six other members of their family, and settled with them at Smoot, Wyo. Later the family moved to and homesteaded a place at the mouth of Dry Creek Canyon, Osmond, where she lived until her marriage to Lee Henderson, Sept 15, 1911.
Six years after her marriage, she was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She and her husband were sealed in the Logan Temple March 13, 1918.
Three sons and one daughter were born to his couple Leon Elmer, LeVon Elmo, Dwain Darrel and Leora Eldona. Leora was born four moths after the death of her father, who was drowned almost 44 years ago.
Ida Henderson lived at Osmond, managed the farm, was father and mother to her family, and was active in the church as long as her health permitted. Her church positions included, among others, Sunday School teacher, president of the primary, relief society worker, visiting teacher and counselor and teacher in the MIA.
She was a lover of flowers and a beautiful seamstress. Her personality always was manifest in her personal neatness and the beauty and cleanliness of her home.

Through all her hardships, sorrows and illnesses of life, she never did lose faith in the Lord. She had a trait of character unexcelled in her ability to take pain and suffering alone, and yet be cheerful to all around her. she was a living example of the word expressed by a poet--"He who smiles the sweetest often hides the biggest load". People were always coming to her for cheer and consolation in their own problems.
