The first child of Emmer (Bryant) and William Lilburn Bottom. She had a brother named Robert who passed away in 2004 and a sister, Frances, who lives in Indiana. Beatrice was the wife of French Vaughn Wyatt.

Her mother was my mom's sister making Beatrice my 1st cousin. My first cousins range from being born in December 1919 to December 1985. Beatrice was the first one born.

Her obituary from the January 09, 2008 Crossville Chronicle:

Beatrice Mae Wyatt, 88, of Crossville, passed away January 2, 2008. Funeral services were conducted January 5 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with Pastor Bill Smith officiating. Special music was by Reba Reed and Roberta Schubert. Burial was in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Mrs. Wyatt was born December 29, 1919, in Russell Springs, Kentucky, the daughter of W.L. and Emma Bryant Bottom. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She worked many years previously in her life at several fulfilling jobs. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Woody School and North Cumberland Elementary. She also worked 14 years as a sales clerk at Ben Franklin and spent several years working at Roselon Southern before retiring. She was a lady of strong character, always speaking her mind, never leaving anyone to guess what her thoughts and opinions were. She loved to read and was always a wonderful storyteller. Like many, she was a huge fan of the UT Vols. Survivors include her sister, Frances Baty of Spring Park, Indiana; half-brother, Gene Bottom of Oneida; half-sister, Ruby Newport of Ohio; nieces, Kay Selby and Tonya Beaty; and nephews, Bob Bottom, Lowell Wyatt, Gerald Wyatt and David Beaty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn Wyatt; sons, Edward "Buddy" Wyatt and Richard Lee "Shorty" Wyatt; and brother, Robert Bottoms. Pallbearers were Lowell Wyatt, Gerald Wyatt, Josh Wyatt, Stewart Selby, Bob Bottoms and Brad Bottoms. Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC was in charge of the arrangements.

Note: Her maiden name was misspelled several times in the obituary. It is corrected here. Her mother's name was recorded as Emma on her birth record and that is what she always believed it to be. However, my grandfather recorded it in his personal records as Emmer and her gravestone has it recorded as Emmer.
